
Paster Douglas Lucker
Douglas A. Lucker was born in Milwaukee, WI, on October 10, 1948 to Roger and Marilyn Lucker. Initially raised Roman Catholic, Doug Graduated from R. Nelson Snider High School in 1967.
After school Doug enlisted in the United States Marine Corps. He served in Vietnam as a scout – sniper, was wounded in action on the 28th of December 1968; and discharged from Great Lakes Naval Hospital and the Marine Corps May 31st, 1969. Doug then attended Indiana University and graduated with a BS in management in 1974.
Doug married Angie Smith May 22nd 1971. They have one daughter, Jill, born Aug 17th, 1975.
Doug was sworn in the Ft. Wayne Police Dept. on January 17, 1975; retired as a deputy chief after thirty-six years. He is also a 1995 graduate of the FBI National Academy.
Doug was then called to ministry, graduated with License to Preach May, 2013, graduated course of study May 2018 at Union College in KY.
Doug previously served in an associate role at Churubusco UMC until taking his current position at St. Mathew’s July1, 2021.
